So what’s the story of the Creative Revival? Well, I’ll tell you.
I believe the Creative Revival has been around for years—and when I say years, I mean years. It may not have taken shape until recently, but the truth is, God planted the two words that shaped this journey in my heart long ago.
I’ve carried Revival Creative with me ever since I was 18. I’m 23 now—five years later—and those words have never left me. From the start, I couldn’t shake the feeling that they were meant to make an impact in the world. I held onto them—drifting, then resurfacing—but never completely letting go. God made sure of that.
At first, I had no idea what they meant. I thought it was supposed to be the name of a worship band. Then I thought it might be a camp or retreat center. Later, I imagined it could be a church. But as time went on, something in me called at the fact that this wasn’t just a random thought—it was a vision. Something I couldn’t ignore.
In those moments, I held onto my faith and trusted that whatever “ Revival Creative” was meant to be, God would fulfill it. As I grew and matured, I learned that God wasn’t saying no—He was saying not yet. He was working on building me up.
Years later, I went to a church service. After it ended, I stayed behind, just sitting alone while everyone else left. That’s when a guy named LJ came up and started talking to me. We hit it off instantly and found we had a lot in common; his roommate made sure to validate those similarities Looking back, I can see that it wasn’t random—God had sent someone into my path for a reason.
LJ was a computer wiz, and I’ll admit, that made me a little jealous. He showed me the many little projects that he had developed. But what I didn’t realize was that God had already been working behind the scenes—aligning the right people and the right timing.
Then came the moment everything changed. I was at my local library, studying God’s Word in Ecclesiastes. Afterward, as I started writing out my prayer, I suddenly felt something stir in me—an idea, a vision. A picture of a place for voices to rise, a one-stop platform for all things faith-related.
I started writing everything God was speaking to me—questions like:
“Why?”
“What is it?”
“What’s the point?”
“Who’s my target?”
“What’s the goal?”
As I wrote, I felt God telling me to share it with LJ. So I did. And what he said back caught me off guard:
“That’s wild. I feel as if God has been telling me to look out for an RC to make an appearance in my life..”
The more we talked, the more it made sense for the both of us. LJ was on board. And in that moment, I knew—God was about to do something big.
The funny part? We were both looking for “RC.” We just didn’t realize that when our paths crossed, it would flip—“RC” becoming “CR.” It was like watching the letters rearrange themselves, as if God was saying, you were each carrying half the message.
Together, we started building the platform and praying over every step. We reached out for submissions, and little by little, it began to take shape.
Now I can see it clearly. This isn’t just an idea—it’s God using two broken, imperfect people to create a movement.
I finally understand why He gave me those two words. Why He sent me a best friend with the right skills. And why God didn’t give me the full vision back then.
Because it was never just mine—it was His plan all along.
This is how Creative Revival began.
